A major IndyCar team has signed a multi-year partnership agreement with a leading company in autonomous road transport technology.
On August 4, the Indianapolis-based Arrow McLaren IndyCar team announced that the autonomous truck company Aurora Innovation Inc. has become its official partner.
As part of this partnership, the Arrow McLaren team’s racing gear will feature the Aurora brand starting with the race at Portland International Raceway on August 7–9.
For the 2027 season, the Aurora brand will appear on the drivers’ fire-resistant suits and on the engine cover of Arrow McLaren’s No. 6 Chevrolet.
The announcement of the partnership made no mention of using Aurora’s autonomous truck technology to transport race cars or equipment.
