Officers from the California Highway Patrol were caught issuing a ticket to the “Big Idaho Potato Tour” truck in this entertaining video recorded during a race held in September.
In a video shared on September 14, an officer informs the crew of the “Big Idaho Potato Tour” truck (along with race car driver Sting Ray Robb) that they have committed serious violations during a traffic stop initiated for “speeding” while driving through the fan zone at the racing event.
The Idaho Potato Commission’s giant potato-shaped promotional truck teamed up with Robb, an Idaho resident, at the Monterey Grand Prix.
The violations listed on the ticket are: “Overweight, improper straps, transporting potatoes, 63 in a 55 zone.”
“It’s been an epic weekend at the #montereygrandprix with the Big Idaho Potato Tour truck there to support and cheer on this #GrownInIdaho race car driver! Maybe I had a little too much fun speeding through the fan zone. Thanks to the CHP for not putting me in handcuffs,” Robb wrote in a social media post.
