Troopers with the Illinois State Police (ISP) inspected hundreds of semi trucks during a recent operation targeting hazardous materials (hazmat) violations.
On September 16, ISP announced results from a recent two-day detail that took place on multiple interstates in northern Illinois, including I-55, I-80, I-90, I-290, I-355, and I-57.
The operation conducted by ISP’s Commercial Motor Vehicle Enforcement Bureau focused on commercial vehicles hauling hazmat and on “enforcing Illinois laws and federal motor carrier safety regulations.”
