Buc-ee’s expands parking restrictions beyond long-haul truckers.

    Published:

Buc-ee’s strict parking rules are now upsetting both private drivers and truckers online.

Buc-ee’s has been turning away truckers for years—a practice that has earned it a bad reputation—and has recently expanded the ban to include all commercial vehicles. In addition, the company has implemented a policy that prevents anyone from paying for gas at the register—not even with a gift card. Now, customers have noticed another strict rule: napping at Buc-ee’s is not allowed.

According to My San Antonio, several drivers report being asked to leave when they tried to take a nap during a long road trip. The website’s FAQ page also states that Buc-ee’s specifically prohibits parking for an “extended period of time.” This means you shouldn’t leave your car there if, for example, a friend is coming to pick you up; and, of course, don’t leave it there if your car breaks down nearby.

“In our effort to maintain a safe environment for all our customers, we cannot allow vehicles to remain in our parking lots for an extended period,” the company states.
