An employee with 48 years of service now appears on the side of Hy-Vee trucks after spending his entire career at a store in Iowa.
Bill Baker was honored during the unveiling of the new branded trailer on Tuesday, May 12, in front of the Hy-Vee store in Washington, Iowa.
According to the Southeast Iowa Union, Baker has been working at the same store since he was 16 and has held various positions there over the past 48 years. He currently works there as the dairy department manager.
Baker was also presented with a scale model semi-truck, featuring a trailer decorated with his photo, along with those of other veteran employees.
Hy-Vee began honoring its veteran employees with decorated trucks in 1997.
