A semi-truck overturned after colliding with a bridge in an accident captured on video Monday on the New York State Thruway.
The accident occurred on Monday, August 10, near Nyack, New York, around 12:20 p.m.
In the dashcam video, the semi-truck crashes into the South Broadway Bridge overpass and then overturns, sliding on its side.
According to CBS News, the truck struck a Toyota parked on the right shoulder of the highway, causing the Toyota’s driver to be taken to the hospital. The Toyota driver is expected to survive. The truck driver was not injured in the incident.
Two southbound lanes of I-87 were closed while cleanup efforts were underway following the accident. Below are images of the accident.
