Trucking Company Expands in Kentucky via $0.5M Investment in Skilled Workforce

    Published:

Page Trucking Enterprises will invest more than half a million dollars this year in a terminal located in central Kentucky because the state has a steady supply of “people who know how to get things done.”

Page Trucking Enterprises will invest more than half a million dollars in a 10-acre plot of land in Morgantown, Kentucky, to expand its operations in the region and create more jobs for the community.

“In Kentucky, we’ve found that there’s a lot of skilled labor and people who know how to get things done,” said Piper Titus, chief financial officer of Page Trucking Enterprises. “That’s really important to our business.”

The facility renovation will include more truck maintenance bays, an improved workspace for technicians, and better amenities for truck drivers.

“There’s a lot of manufacturing activity in that area, especially metal production and recycling companies,” Titus told WNKY40. “There’s great potential to continue growing our business in Kentucky thanks to the customer base we already have there.”

“We transport third-party freight. We do not transport food or consumer goods. We transport a large volume of industrial materials, such as scrap metal, ingots, coils, finished metal products, and manufacturing byproducts… For us, it’s an area with a truly high concentration of customers, trucks, trailers, drivers, and repair services,” he added.

The company also hopes that the expansion of its facilities will help it find and train the next generation of truck drivers in a region with “people who know how to get things done.”

“Being able to train the next generation of employees is critical to our success and sustainability going forward,” said Titus. “Our goal is to attract people to the industry and help them become familiar with it… Trucking is an incredible profession, and we hope people will start to see it that way.”
