JR Motorsports has shared security camera footage showing lightning striking its facilities on Wednesday.
The video was recorded Wednesday morning in a parking lot at the JR Motorsports facility on Cayuga Road in Mooresville, North Carolina.
In the brief video, lightning appears to strike a white pickup truck parked in the lot, near the team’s No. 7 transport truck. The pickup’s headlights turn on after the strike.
“We’re starting the year with a bang,” JR Motorsports commented.
JR Motorsports shared a second video that appears to show lightning striking a fence at the facility.
JR Motorsports is jointly owned by Dale Earnhardt Jr., Kelley Earnhardt Miller, and Rick Hendrick.
