Police accused a truck driver of fleeing the scene after striking a woman with his tractor trailer at a truck stop in Fultonville, New York, over the weekend.
Shortly before 7 p.m. on September 12, the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office (MCSO) responded to a report of a woman trapped between two semi trucks at a Pilot truck stop in Fultonville.
When police arrived on the scene, the 25-year-old woman was no longer trapped. She was treated at the scene for injuries and then transported to a hospital for additional treatment.
“It was determined that the female had been struck by a tractor trailer as it was leaving from a parking space, causing the female to be pinned between the moving vehicle and another parked tractor trailer in the lot; the suspect vehicle had then fled the scene,” MCSO said.
MCSO launched a criminal investigation and identified the suspect as Kyle M. Koehler, 23, from Bath, New York.
Investigators said that the female victim was a passenger in Koehler’s truck and a victim of domestic violence.
Later in the evening on September 12, Koehler was located in the Fultonville area and detained by police. He was later arrested and charged with:
- Assault 2nd, (D- Felony)
- Reckless Endangerment 1st, (D-Felony)
- Leaving the Scene of an Incident without Report- Personal Injury, (B- Misdemeanor)
