A truck driver was arrested this week after crashing into an unoccupied patrol car belonging to a Massachusetts State Police officer.
The arrest took place on August 3, 2026, at the Massachusetts State Police (MSP) Sturbridge barracks (MSP).
A tractor-trailer crashed into a parked, unoccupied police patrol car outside the station. The impact of the collision pushed the police vehicle against the curb and into a pole.
“The tractor-trailer then continued on its path, plowing through nearby bushes before turning around behind the station in an apparent attempt to flee the scene. Officers stopped the vehicle moments later,” reported the Massachusetts State Police (MSP).
