    CDL suspended and truck impounded following motorist’s emergency 911 call

    A truck driver had his CDL suspended after a motorist called 911 on him to report erratic driving. 

    The incident happened in Cambridge, Ontario, Canada on Sunday, September 27th. 

    The Ontario Provincial Police wrote on Facebook that they received a 911 call from a motorist reporting a truck driver driving erratically. Cambridge OPP officers were able to locate the semi truck and conduct a traffic stop. 

    During the stop, the driver submitted to a breathalyzer test and blew at three times the legal limit. The driver was soon arrested for impaired driving. 

    The semi truck was seized and the driver’s CDL was suspended as a result of the incident. 

    “Thank you to the member of the public who called 911 to report an erratic transport truck,” OPP reported.
