Trucking driver caught on camera snorting white powder; police notified

    Published:

A truck driver was arrested after his trucking company reported him to police for potentially doing cocaine inside of the truck.

The incident happened at around 4:25 p.m. on Thursday, September 24th at the Baker Valley Rest Area along Interstate 84 in Oregon.

According to Baker City Herald, an official from the trucking company the driver was working for called the police after reviewing images captured by the driver-facing camera in the truck cab revealed the driver was snorting a white substance.

The officer arrived at the rest area and spoke with the truck driver, 33-year-old Louis Moreno-Leon, who admitted that he had been snorting cocaine. Moreno-Leon notified the officer that the drug was in his wallet.

The officer soon found two plastic baggies of white powder in the wallet, and arrested Moreno-Leon. The driver was booked into jail on misdemeanor unlawful possession of cocaine. He was later released and is scheduled to appear in court on November 16th.
